GRE Psychology Subject Test – Why?
The simple answer to this question is that for more than half a century, 60 years to be exact, the GRE subject test has been looked upon as the golden standard in terms of university admission to the graduate level by most of the American Universities. Nowadays, even some of the European Educational Institutions ask for GRE scores.
To get through GRE, you are required to clear two tests: the GRE General Test and the GRE Subject Test. If your major subject was Psychology at the undergraduate level, it is but natural that you will appear for the Psychology subject test. The GRE subject test will assess whether you are eligible for a Masters in Psychology from a reputed Graduate School. The only mantra to success is to score as much as possible. The higher your score, the better are your prospects of making it to one of the most reputed universities.
The GRE subject test is not a cake walk as some people assume it to be. It is a competitive exam on a ‘global’ scale. So what really counts is not just how good you are but how much better you are than others. Your aptitude, intelligence, your knowledge about the subject and most important of all, your preparation level for the test all come together in deciding your score. But there is no reason as to why you should not be able to crack it.
