GRE Psychology Subject Test – Retest Time and Procedure

If you do not crack the GRE psychology test the first time or the scores do not reflect your true capabilities, you don’t need to worry. You can always take the test the second time around. Armed with the first test’s experience, you will be even better equipped the second time around. Rather than drowning yourself in failure, try to rise above.

Procedure for Retest:

The scores of the subject test will be made available to you within the first week from the day of the test. From then on, you will get two months to decide whether you want to appear for the subject test again. If you decide to appear for the test or take a re-test, you will have to fill in the GRE subject test registration form within the two-month period. From then on, everything is the same as the first time around. As it appears, appearing for the second test will not be as complicated as the first one.

A Word of Advice:

After you get your test scores, don’t take the whole of six months to decide whether you want to reappear for the test. You will be better off if you make the decision early. This will prevent you from losing a year and moreover, you will get more time for making plans and preparations for the subject test.
