GRE Computer Science Subject Test – Format
Similar to the other subject tests, the computer science subject GRE test is also a paper-based test.
- It consists of 70 questions that have to be solved in a period of 170 minutes. There are questions, which are grouped in sets and are based on diagrams, graphs and program fragments.
- It is divided into four broad categories of software systems and methodology, which covers almost 40% of the paper, computer organization and architecture is given a weightage of 15% in the paper, theory and mathematical background again has a density of 40% and other topics cover the rest of the 5% of the paper.
- Alongside the knowledge of computer science, it is expected that you will have knowledge of concepts in calculus and linear algebra.
