GRE Biology Subject Test – Format
- To get admission to a reputed institute, you require a great GRE score
- There are about 200 multiple-choice questions, many of which will be given in sets and are based on experimental results, diagrams and laboratory situations. The timeframe is 170 minutes.
- There are three major divisions: cellular and molecular biology, ecology and evolution and organismal biology. These are, however, interrelated.
- Approximately each of these divisions contains equal weight.
- Apart from the total score, you will also find sub-scores for marking the individual areas that test your definitive strengths and weaknesses in various areas of biology.
- However, all the divisions in the subject areas do not have equal number of questions.
