Subject GRE Test fee refunds
When requesting for a refund…
- If you unfortunately have to cancel your registration by the deadline then you are entitled to receive a refund of the fee you paid. However, the sum is only equal to half of the original test fees. The rest of the amount is retained to meet the expenses for dispensing your registration and holding the seat at the test center.
- The refunds are only done in US Dollars.
- The refunds are not available in cash.
- Refunds may be barred if you do not trace the correct registration procedures.
- If you fail to present the apt identification documents at the test center, even then your refund can be barred.
- If you had paid the fees with a credit card then the refund will be processed automatically, crediting the amount back to the original credit card account.
- If you had paid the fees by a cheque, again the refunds are processed automatically. If the payment was made from a US Domestic Bank, then the refund will be processed in 8 weeks and if from a non-US Bank, then in 12 weeks.
